Knapp’s intricate hand drawn pen and ink style is influenced by European line engravings of decorative relief and scientific specimens from the 16th and 17th centuries. Most of Olivia’s content explores the relationship between desire, reason, and circumstance. Her current body of work uses the head and heart as contrasting characters in an ongoing story.
Deborah’s fashion label Silvae, latin for “of the woods”, is a ready-to-wear women’s line produced in the US. Her collection for Spring/Summer 2014 is inspired by her surroundings in the Pacific Northwest. The beautiful collection merges feminine silhouettes, organic shapes and a love for the surreal, which can be seen in her fabric prints developed with Olivia Knapp.
The week-long exhibition and trunk show highlights the creative relationship between Olivia and Deborah by showcasing their pieces side by side. Join us Thursday June 12th from 6pm - 9pm for an opening reception of drinks and viewing of the installation. Show runs until June 19th. RSVP here.
