The Madrona Lamp by Whitcomb & Company

by Alisa Furoyama | April 30, 2011

Our friend Andy Whitcomb, founder of Seattle furniture design company Whitcomb & Company created this lamp, a piece which exemplifies their passion for sustainable furniture that is unique, timeless and durable (not to mention aesthetically pleasing). The Madrona, like all W&C offerings, is crafted from reclaimed materials such as the salvaged pulley (from a tractor) used for the base. The neck, as you may have guessed, is a fallen branch from a Madrona tree.
