Living Vessels, Kokedama Workshop

Kokedama is a style of Japanese Bonsai where a plant's root system is wrapped in moss and bound with string, transforming it into a living sculpture. Loosely translated, 'koke' means moss and 'dama' means ball. These decorative hanging plants are beautiful to accent any room at home. There are many different plants that can thrive in this specific type of planting and we'll explore all of the different options.

Our plant workshops are taught by our in-store plant experts, Tassy de Give and Keeley Michael. They will lead you in the creation of 2 small Kokedama balls:

  • 1 traditional mud based ball with ferns
  • 1 of your choice!
