Friday, December 14th 6-8pm
Join us for a special study in nature and intentionality at our introductory Bonsai Workshop on Dec. 14th. Elements of bonsai design and styling, as well as pruning and potting techniques, will be demonstrated and discussed.
This class is led by Patrick Buckholz, Bonsai and Garden Assistant at the Pacific Bonsai Museum, where he cares for the 150 trees in the Museum’s collection. Patrick has been practicing bonsai for 15 years, studying with renowned professionals including Ryan Neil of Bonsai Mirai, Dave De Groot, Matt Reel, Mike Pistello and John Muth of Bonsai Northwest.
Class will take place in our new greenhouse and design studio, located at 1351 E. Olive Way (between Bellevue and Melrose Ave). Workshop fee includes a juniper bonsai, training pot and pruning shears. Light refreshments will be provided.
Visit Pacific Bonsai Museum's 5th Annual 'A Bonsai Solstice' event, coming up just after our workshop on Sunday, Dec. 16th, from 4-7pm. It's a lovely, magical and free community event. Details are on the Museum's website and on Facebook.
