Bradley Pooler

"Plant Soundscapes"

Seattle-based musician Bradley Pooler finds sound inspiration in nature for his project, "Plant Soundscapes." All organic matter has electrical currents that run across the surface. This biometric feedback can be converted into sounds through the use of surface probes that translate plant data into raw electronic voltage that is then interpreted and distributed throughout the modular system. The result is an organic composition with a wide array of sounds, a twinkly and sometimes ambient wash of melody.

With Pooler at the helm, compositions are sculpted up and out of the clay that is the original organic matter. Through "Plant Soundscapes" he is able to harness nature's voice and make that sound uniquely his own.

The inaugural re-opening event for the Glasswing Greenhouse is in partnership with Capitol Hill Art Walk for June. Opening reception is from 6 - 9 pm on Thursday, June 9. Pooler will be playing a live set throughout the event in support of visual artist Bethanie Jone's "Sensory Romance."
