Lamine Diouf Weavings

Lamine Diouf is a multidisciplinary artist from Senegal, living and working in Antwerp, Belgium. All of these specialities: poetry, music, movement, and textiles, can be seen influencing one another in his work.

In his weavings, tere is a sense of place and storytelling inherently present. Originally from Senegal, Lamine’s work is influenced by many cultures and traditions, yet at the same time, his work is refreshingly his own.

Since 2020, his weaving are featured in the Jan-Jan Van Essche clothing collection. This collaboration allows Diouf access to repurpose unique fabrics from the production process, creating a closed loop with little to no waste.
