Postalco Travel Wallet for Calder Foundation
$319
This organizer is embossed with Calder graphic designs made in 1965-66. Smartly designed, this flight size case was designed to hold a passport, plane tickets, and cards all in one place. It is equipped with 3 large pockets, for easy access while juggling luggage, and card holders for added security. Made from a durable pressed cotton canvas and leather for durability, and is finished with an exterior leather loop to hold a pen.
MATERIAL
Smooth surface cowhide is tanned using vegetable tannins from the mimosa tree. Vegetable tanning takes more time but does not use the toxic compounds needed for chrome tanned leather. Aniline dyes soak into the leather leaving visible the natural variation in grain and texture. The more aniline dyed leather is used, the better the surface patina gets over time. Pressed Cotton fabric is made with the same machines that were used to make very durable tent fabric. The base color of the white threads will become more apparent and it will soften with use.
