Large spade shaped leaves are characteristic of this Philodendron that comes in a range of color varieties, our favorite being the red or green. Unlike many of it's close relatives, this variety does not trail or climb but rather grows outwards and upwards from a circular focused center.
Note: Plant is toxic and should be kept away from children and pets.
Light
Medium bright light is ideal but can adapt to lower light situations. Do not place in direct sunlight. In low light, the plant will become leggy and growth is further spread out from the center.
Water
Allow soil to dry between watering. Check for moist soil half way down the pot and if dry, water thoroughly.
Temperature
Normal indoor temperatures, 70-85 degrees. Keep away from cold drafts, heaters and air conditioners.
Humidity
Normal room humidity but higher humidity is a plus.
Origin
Tropical West Africa from Nigeria east to the Congo
