Based in Western Australia, and made in Japan, MAN-TLE is a collection of products that are durable, practical, and unique. In creating each collection, founders Larz and Aida, spend as much time developing their fabrics and building relationships with the people behind the cloth as they do on their designs. The result is a small group of highly sought-after garments that are intended to evolve with you over time.

Hooded jacket with a loose, slightly cropped fit. Made from 100% nylon. This original MAN–TLE fabric consist of a nylon plain weave that has been boiled and permanently shrunk using chlorides, a technique derived from the traditional method of producing silk crepe for the Obi belt by boiling in sea water. MAN-TLE's partnering mill in Fukui has developed their own method to create this crinkled texture with nylon. Heat treated, compressed and water-resistant, this fabric will become soft in humid conditions and remain stiff in dry conditions. Woven and finished for MAN-TLE in Fukui, Japan. Detailed with self-lined front and hood, enlarged slot buttons threaded onto seatbelt tape, slashed pockets that extend from the armholes. Finished with 25mm army buttons secured with car seatbelt tape. fit Dane is 6’0” and typically wears a size L in tops. He wears the size M here for a regular fit. R0P6 is an elastic-waisted wide-leg trouser loose in the crotch and leg, then taper towards the ankle. Made from a high density 100% cotton chambray treated with an enzyme wash. This cloth is designed to change with time and use — a characteristic common to using natural fibers finished without color-fasting chemicals. With washing and wear it will evolve, becoming lighter and papery in texture. Front pockets are cut away from the side seam and rear patch pockets are bar-tacked and reinforced with internal fabric disks. fit Himi is 6'0" and typically wears a size 34 in bottoms. This fabrication was over-dyed with mangosteen pigment as well as local woods which impart tannins into the fabric that later react to the iron-rich mud dip dye, developing a dark brown color. The color is designed to evolve with exposure to sunlight and wear.
