Often mistaken for a banana plant because of its large leaves, this lush and beautiful plant thrives indoors. It is native to South Africa where it often blooms, but will rarely produce a flower indoors.
LIGHT: Full to part sun. Rotate plant so light is even on all sides. Some direct sun is beneficial.
WATER: Allow top 30% of soil to dry between waterings, then thoroughly soak the plant. This plant needs less water in the fall and winter. Curling leaves could be a sign that the plant needs more water. High humidity preferred.
FERTILIZER: Once per month during the active growing season.
TEMPERATURE: 60-80 degrees
NOTES: Plant leaves require dusting occasionally.
