We are presenting a small collection of hand-carved wood sculptures by artist Aleph Geddis. For this series, he is exhibiting a collection of creatures and abstract totems that will be available in a variety of sizes. No two are exactly alike.
The sculptural works of Aleph Geddis feel otherworldly and exist at a unique intersection of traditional craft and modernist form. His ever changing body of work draws on inspiration from the natural world, the complex geometries that make up our being, and the spiritual world around us that we cannot always see.
Aleph grew up on Orcas Island and was immersed not only in the nature of the Pacific Northwest but also spent hours learning and working with his stepfather, a sculptor, carver and builder of wooden boats. Currently living in Bali, Aleph is able to bring his work wherever life takes him. Much of his time spent traveling around the world can be seen influencing elements of his work and design process.
