For this weekend event, we’re hosting Portland’s Chess Club in the shop with a selection of printed matter gathered from across the world of independent publishing. The presentation brings together artist books, magazines, and small press titles meant to be handled, flipped through, and discovered slowly. It’s an invitation to spend time with each page and to meet the curators behind the project.
Opening party is Friday, March 27 from 5 - 7 pm, with wine from Buona Notte and a vinyl set from Portland’s Gem Nwannem featuring afrofunk, highlife, and disco. RSVP with the link below. Afterparty at Otherworld, one of our favorite natural wine bars, from 8 pm to close with a special wine pour and downtempo house selections from 5thletta and Pooler.
The Residency goes through Sunday, March 29 during regular store hours, with publications available while quantities last.
