Founded in 1976, New Beginning's mission is to empower survivors and mobilize community awareness and action to end domestic violence. They are a full service agency focused on providing domestic violence survivors with everything from helpline support, re-housing help, and direct financial assistance. On average, New Beginnings serves over 10,000 women, children, and men each year.
New Beginnings is a member of the National and Washington State Coalitions Against Domestic Violence and the Coalition Ending Gender Based Violence. New Beginnings is also a member of the Seattle/King County Coalition for the Homeless, Seattle Human Services Coalition and is a United Way member agency.
In celebration of International Women's Day, we have put together some potted plants to contribute to New Beginning's care baskets that will be gifted to women who have are in the process of leaving abusive relationships with the goal of seeking safety for themselves and their families.
