Rudy’s, the iconic Seattle brand founded by Alex Calderwood and Wade Weigel in 1993, continues their spirit of creative leadership with the launch of a new ‘Zine, The Buzz. Created in-house, The Buzz features content from collaborators and inspirers in Seattle and beyond, including Stacey Rozich, Skate Like a Girl, and Seattle’s own Glasswing shop offering advice on how to “Give your Plant a Haircut.”
To celebrate the launch of their new issue, Rudy’s has partnered with Glasswing’s Greenhouse to host an event for the Seattle community. The launch event will include an all-day barbershop pop-up (11 - 7 pm) followed by the opening reception party (5 - 8 pm) on Saturday, July 13. 100% of proceeds from the pop-up barbershop will benefit Skate Like a Girl, a Seattle non-profit that empowers individuals, especially young women, to become strong, confident leaders who promote and implement equity through the vehicle of skateboarding.
Complimentary sips and small bites will be provided.
