Signe is an artist, chef, and baker whose work resists being defined by a single title. Through her project Gloria Provisions, she has built a practice that treats food as both nourishment and celebration. Her pastries and loaves invite a sense of belonging, reflecting her belief that food is as much about community as it is about craft.
For Signe, food is not just sustenance but connection. She describes her role in the kitchen as a kind of choreography, where each plate carries the weight of collaboration and care. Sustainability, inclusivity, and community guide every decision, from sourcing ingredients to shaping the experience of sharing a meal. Looking ahead, she envisions Gloria as a platform for teaching, recipe sharing, and creative exploration, blending her background as a chef with her desire to empower others in their own kitchens.

"Somehow despite owning a bakery for the last 5 years, I have never identified as a baker. Though traditionally only for someone who runs a restaurant kitchen (which I no longer do), I think I still identify most closely as a chef."
"One of the biggest goals for Gloria is to find time to build out a place where my work as a chef can play into what I do now – I want to create a space to share recipes, exercise my creativity through food styling and photography, and teach people how to enjoy the bakery’s offerings in new ways while simultaneously empowering them in their own kitchens."
