Ahmed Suliman of Cafe Suliman and Marc Papineau of Cantina Sauvage have teamed up to offer a dining experience unlike anything Seattle has to offer at the moment. In a tiny spot in the middle of the Melrose Market they have created a cafe, restaurant, wine bar, pantry, and event space that is home to regular food pop-ups and Maker’s Market events.
The cafe itself is warm and inviting with a simple, ingredient forward menu. There’s always a friendly face behind the counter, a good record playing, and the smell of roasting vegetables and savory spices filling the air. Suli curates a simple and ingredient forward menu with modern Arabian flavors. Each dish is plated for the eyes to feast first, but it's not overly done. All of the entrees have the same feeling of a home cooked meal that was made with loving care. To compliment the menu, Marc curates a delicious selection of wines and his recommendations make it feel impossible to choose incorrectly. There’s a price-point and flavor profile for every palette and dish pairing.
