Dyed & Dined Dinner, Marseille
$75
Archived Event: The "Dyed & Dined" Dinner is a collaboration between our neighbors at Marseille and Tennessee textile artist, Maggie Pate. This event is inspired by the idea of sustainable cooking, to use all of an ingredient and to see the potential of food waste. Chef, Eli Dahlin has created a five-course menu inspired by in-season, local ingredients. The goal of each dish is to emphasize the use of an ingredient in its entirety, illustrated in elements like carrot top pesto, apple skin sorbet, and charred leek tops. To showcase another use of food waste, we will have textiles accompanying each dish that has been dyed naturally. The place setting will showcase colors created from the same ingredients highlighted in each recipe. Maggie will talk about her process of natural dyeing with food waste throughout the dinner. menu Tartine of roasted broccoli stem, truffle, horseradish, and watercress Carrot salad with burrata, tangerine peel, carrot top pesto Pumpkin miso soup with pork belly, fermented radish greens, charred leek tops, and egg white noodles Ash-roasted celeriac, fried squid, prosciutto tea Coffee ground custard, apple skin sorbet with cardamom florentine cookie details Limited Engagement5-Course DinnerWine Pairing Add-on Available (5 pours)Please add both items to the cart for checkoutNatural Wine by the bottle or glass will be available

Ficus lyrata 'Little Fiddle' Tree, Fiddle Leaf Fig
$32 to $150
The 'Little Fiddle' lyrata is a smaller leaf variety of the Ficus lyrata that grow up to 10'+ indoors. Ficus lyratas are usually available in either a bush form with leaves along the entire stalk of the plant or a tree form with leaves just at the top of the main stalk. If you have a requested shape, please make a note on your order and we will do our best to accommodate. LIGHT: Bright indirect light. Insufficient light causes small leaves and leaf drop. Too much sun causes the leaves of a Fiddle Leaf Fig to fade and lose their dark green color. WATER: Allow the top 30% of topsoil to dry out and the leaves to become soft and flexible before watering. POTTING: All-purpose organic potting soil and a well draining pot situation is ideal. Like all Ficus Trees, this variety likes being root-bound in small pots. TEMPERATURE:60-80° Keep away from air conditioners, drafts, and heating vents. Intense cold or heat causes leaf drop. FERTILIZE 1x/month during it's active growing season (spring-fall). ORIGIN West Africa TOXICITY: Plant is toxic and should be kept away from pets and children. NOTES: Spray leaves every other week with warm soapy water or a mixture of neem oil to ward off plant pests. Spraying the leaves also keeps them dust free and clean so they can absorb more light.
