Embossed with Calder graphic designs made in the 1965-66. A simply designed case for writing utensils but also for small work tools such as scissors and protractors. It is specifically designed to pack flat when empty and expand to fit everything you need to get work done. Made from a durable pressed cotton canvas and leather for durability.   MATERIAL  Smooth surface cowhide is tanned using vegetable tannins from the mimosa tree. Vegetable tanning takes more time but does not use the toxic compounds needed for chrome tanned leather. Aniline dyes soak into the leather leaving visible the natural variation in grain and texture. The more aniline dyed leather is used, the better the surface patina gets over time. Pressed Cotton fabric is made with the same machines that were used to make very durable tent fabric. A strawberry keeps its seeds on the outside, spread out in a pleasant pattern. While experimenting with different grips we found this strawberry-like texture to be extremely comfortable. It feels refined: less like a tool and more like an instrument. Satisfying mechanicsThe clip is also the button that exposes the tip of the ballpoint. Starch-pressed cotton is bonded to the cover of these notebooks. The colors will lighten with use and the weave of the fabric will become more apparent. The fabric is water-resistant treated. Versatile paper with a texture that keeps the pen from slipping too easily and makes it an ideal writing surface to keep thoughts flowing. Suitable for writing or drawing. Page thickness prevents most show-through. This paper is ecologically made and chlorine free.
