George Nakamura is an artist and potter based in Kyoto, Japan. Through his range of mugs, plates, bowls and teapots, he resists the notion of tablewares as decorative artifacts and intends his creations to be a coherent part of the interior landscape, to be used and enjoyed frequently. Each piece features the unique signature of the Kyoto tradition, having elements that are delicately thin yet paradoxically very strong and durable.
