A hooded jacket with a loose, slightly cropped fit. Made from nylon. This original MAN–TLE fabric consist of a nylon plain weave that has been boiled and permanently shrunk using chlorides, a technique derived from the traditional method of producing silk crepe for the Obi belt by boiling in sea water. MAN-TLE's partnering mill in Fukui has developed their own method to create this crinkled texture with nylon. Heat treated, compressed and water-resistant, this fabric will become soft in humid conditions and remain stiff in dry conditions. Woven and finished for MAN-TLE in Fukui, Japan. Detailed with self-lined front and hood, enlarged slot buttons threaded onto seatbelt tape, slashed pockets that extend from the armholes. Finished with 25mm army buttons secured with car seatbelt tape.
