After moving to Europe, his focus shifted to other mediums such as poetry, dance, and textiles. In 2020, his weaving practice began when designer Jan Jan Van Essche introduced him to the loom, with his weavings featured somewhere in each collection. Through this collaboration, Diouf repurposes unique fabrics from the production process, creating a closed loop with little to no waste. Using shuttle looms and a vintage book on weaving patterns, Lamine’s weavings are influenced by many cultures and traditions, yet at the same time, his work is refreshingly his own.
